The Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA) today unveiled the theme for 16th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) at the SIEWConnects@KPMG event, which marks the start of the 2023 campaign.
Themed “Energy Transition towards a Net Zero World”, SIEW 2023 will bring together global energy leaders to address the importance of technological innovation, investments and infrastructure, as well as supply chain resiliency as the world progresses towards net zero. The event will also examine the financing and investment gaps in the bankability of renewable and low-carbon technologies, as well as the policies required to better deploy technologies to decarbonise and accelerate electrification.
At the launch of the theme, KPMG also shared its outlook on ASEAN’s decarbonisation, including the challenges, opportunities, and solutions.
SIEW delegates can look forward to discussions on how governments, multilateral institutions, and industry leaders can work together to support the energy transition to a net-zero future. SIEW 2023 will take place at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, from 23 to 27 October 2023. Delegates can register their interest to attend the event via the SIEW website (www.siew.gov.sg). More updates will be shared when registration opens in July.
